  1. Protection of personal data

Data security

The entity under which Quisito operates is MAJORITAS INSIGHTS SRL.

In all member countries of the European Union (EU), as of 25.05.2018, Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, also known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), became applicable.

The operation of Quisito respects all the rights guaranteed by the GDPR for the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. Registering with Quisito implies acceptance of the use of the data provided at the time of registration (all data requested), as well as during the use of Quisito services. Any action within Qusito is done with the guarantee of confidentiality of the personal data provided. 

You may at any time request access to your data registered in Quisito and you have the right to request their modification or deletion. If you wish to stop using Quisito by ceasing any collaboration, you can do so by sending an e-mail to hello@quisito.ai with the subject "I wish to stop using Quisito and have my data deleted". After completing the necessary procedures, your data will be deleted.

Quisito rigorously implements measures to ensure the cybersecurity of the processes involved in the operation of the Quisito platform. However, Quisito cannot be held responsible for the accidental appearance of viruses or other attacks in emails received from Quisito or other similar problems.

As personal data controller, we implement a set of rules to guarantee the security of the data collected from users. Each user is assigned a unique code and personal data is stored in separate files. Access to these files is restricted to a limited number of people and is strictly based on a unique identification code and password. Data is also stored on a secure server. Each Quisito user is responsible for the veracity of his or her own data associated with the account, as well as for ensuring that no one else sees the password when logging in.

Cookie policy

This website uses cookies and fingerprints. These are files that are automatically installed on your computer and can recognize you as a user by a reference number. They are used to collect statistical information such as: the number of exposures of the members of the community to certain web contents that are part of the studies that we have in progress, the frequency of accessing these contents, the profile of those who access this content or other relevant statistical information. Cookies do not store personal data.

Fingerprints allow us to collect information such as: browser used, operating system, IP. This information is not linked to personal data. They enable the use of Quisito.

Use of Quisito implies consent to the use of cookies and fingerprints.

Managing cookies

You have several ways to manage your cookies. You can choose settings that can change the way you browse the internet and the conditions under which you access certain services that require the use of cookies.

You can choose at any time to express your cookie options, and to change those options, by the methods described below.

You can configure your browser in such a way that cookies are recorded in your terminal equipment or, on the contrary, that they are rejected, either systematically or according to the source of the sender. Accepting cookies

The recording of a cookie in the terminal equipment depends primarily on the choice of the user of that equipment, which the user can express and modify at any time, free of charge, through the options offered by the browser.

If you allow cookies to be stored on your terminal equipment in your browser, cookies embedded in the pages and messages you have accessed may be temporarily stored in a dedicated space on your terminal equipment. They can only be read in that space by the source that generated them.

Reject cookies

If you refuse to register cookies on your terminal equipment or delete those already registered, you will no longer benefit from certain functions that are nevertheless necessary to navigate in certain areas of the Quisito platform.

This occurs if you attempt to access our content or services that require identification. In any other such situation, we - or our providers - will not be able to recognize, for technical compatibility purposes, the type of browser used by your terminal equipment, its language and display settings, or the country from which your equipment appears to be connected to the Internet.

In this case, we disclaim any responsibility for the consequences of the improper functioning of our services, resulting from the inability to register or consult the cookies necessary for their functioning, cookies that you have rejected or deleted.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data that we collect or obtain through the quisito.ai Website, and how we use, disclose and protect that data. The Site is provided by Quisito and may be made available to you by a Quisito Partner or licensee acting on our behalf. By using and accessing the Site, you consent to the practices and policies set forth in this Privacy Policy.

What is personal data

Personal data is information relating to a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly.

As a Quisito user you will only be asked for data consisting of your e-mail address, first and last name.  However, in order to issue invoices for the services provided by Quisito you may be asked for additional data related to identification data such as: name, surname, date of birth, your identity card data, nationality.

How does Quisito use and process the collected data?

Quisito uses the information described in this Privacy Policy to analyze, develop and improve its products and services.

The processing involves certain operations such as: collecting, recording, organizing, storing, modifying, modifying, retrieving, consulting, using, transmitting, combining, blocking, restricting, erasing, destroying, archiving personal data, etc. All these operations are carried out by Quisito after you agree to be a Quisito user and register to this effect on our platform.

What status do Quisito a users have with regard to the processing of personal data?

Quisito exclusively processes the personal data of its users. The natural persons whose personal data is processed are referred to as "Data Subjects".

Quisito users may not provide Quisito with information about other people, but they may promote our platform by informing them about its existence and its benefits.

What are the purposes for which Quisito processes personal data?
  • providing users with services arising from market research and public opinion polls on various topics of national and international interest;

  • general user management, such as identifying users, communicating with users: providing information on terms or assisting with market research and public opinion polls on various topics;

  • creating or analyzing profiles in order to view a user's activity over several periods of time or to carry out direct marketing activities through any means of communication (e.g. e-mail communication, newsletters addressed directly and specifically to Quisito users), if the user has agreed to this when registering with Quisito;

  • general marketing or advertising activities, Quisito user loyalty activities;

  • analyzing the member's behavior, through the use of cookies, both Quisito's and third parties', in order to provide general or customized content, surveys and studies that the user is interested in in general and/or specifically, (for detailed information about the Cookie Policy please consult the related section of the General Terms and Conditions of the website);

  • conducting internal analysis (including statistical analysis) on the topics that have generated the most studies or opinion polls;

  • for general verification assurance and fraud prevention, such as detecting registrations using multiple (false) identities.

The basis on which we process your personal data

Your personal data is processed by Quisito for the above-mentioned purposes on the basis of your consent, if your consent has been granted (e.g. in case of direct marketing or automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects and which are not necessary for the performance of a contract or the fulfillment of a legal obligation.

What happens when you provide your Quisito data. Can you refuse the transmission of your personal data?

Providing your personal data to Quisito is not mandatory. However, the provision of personal data is mandatory to the extent that you are an individual and wish to use Qusito services.

If you do not wish to provide us with the personal data requested when filling in the user mustin form, you will not be able to register and you will not be able to benefit from Quisito services.

To whom is your personal data transmitted?
  • Service providers: IT services (maintenance, software development), archiving in physical and/or electronic format; courier; support services; market research services, transmission of marketing communications, monitoring of traffic and user behavior, services for personalization of different types of marketing, marketing services through social media resources, services for the creation of marketing content.

Your data will not be transmitted outside the European Union. We process personal data directly and through the following processors who provide services to us and process personal data for us, namely internal collaborators who have a direct connection with the development of the application, IT collaborators who ensure the operability and security of our platform.

Your rights regarding personal data transmitted to Quisito

The rights you have in relation to your personal data are:

  • The right to request the controller to access, rectify or erase them ('right to be forgotten') or to restrict processing;

  • Right to object to processing. You can object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes at any time, including the right to object to profiling;

  • The right to data portability (to receive the data provided in a structured format and to transmit it to another controller);

  • The right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time; Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal;

  • Right to complain to a supervisory authority.

You may exercise any of these rights free of charge by sending a written, signed and dated request to us by e-mail to hello@quisito.ai. Following receipt of the request we have the right to contact you to verify that you are the person making the request (identity verification).

If you agree to this, you may also receive commercial communications from us by e-mail in the form of newsletters to keep you up to date with all our activities and services worldwide.

You then have the opportunity to opt-out of future mailings by simply clicking on the specially created page at the bottom of each communication. Quisito undertakes to remove addresses from its mailing list.

Automated individual decision-making processes

In order to carry out the most relevant studies and surveys on various topics, Quisito uses automated individual decision-making processes, including the creation of profiles exclusively by automated individual means, resulting in the creation of categories of passive/active users, interested/not interested in certain topics.

Profiling

In order to carry out its core business, Questia produces various profiles on its members. These profiles do not involve making exclusively automatic decisions of the kind mentioned above. Such profiles are used:

  • for establishing passive and/or active users;

  • in order to determine the topics, themes, categories of respondents that users are interested in.

These profiles are based on the type of questionnaires created in the Quisito platform by the user. The consequences of these profiles may consist in selecting certain users to be invited to use new Quisito functionalities or to be deleted from the database and the Quisito platform when they exceed a certain period of time since they have become passive.

Period for which your data is processed by Quisito

We will store your personal data for a period of 1 year from the date you registered or reconfirmed your Quisito user status by accessing our online platform.

If during this period of 1 year, the user will never use his account to access our platform, it will be deleted from our database, a notice to this effect will be sent in advance by email to the user.

Quisito's modus operandi complies with the regulations for the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, as outlined in this Privacy Policy

Users have the right and may at any time request the deletion of their data. They also have the right to access their data registered in the Quisito platform. 

If you wish to withdraw from the Quisito community, cease any activity and decide to delete your account, send an email with the subject "I wish to deactivate / delete my account" to hello@quisito.ai. Upon completion of the procedure, the user will receive an email confirming the deletion or deactivation of their account.

After receiving your request, we reserve the right to contact you to verify your identity. 

If the user does not log in to Quisito for more than one year, all information and data provided by the user is anonymized after the user is notified of this action.

  1. Can children use the website?

Our website and the services available on Quisito are not intended for persons under 18 years of age. Quisito does not knowingly or specifically collect information from persons under the age of 18 and believes that regardless of their age, minor children should obtain parental consent before providing personal information.

  1. Changes to this policy 

Quisito may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes in the way we use personal information, we will notify you by posting a notice on the Site or by sending you an e-mail. Users must abide by this Privacy Policy each time they access the Site after such changes are posted.
